Roses at Ocean Point

Typifying a midcoast Maine summer scene, this little painting features clear blue skies, gently crashing waves, a few distant islands, a small pine grove, blooming rugosa roses and, of course,  sunlit rock formations jutting out into a Prussian blue sea. These disparate images are all held together by a cohesive use of light, value and palette. These are used to create atmosphere as a result you can feel the sun. Ocean Point, East Boothbay,  Maine.
