Gray Seas at Acadia

Even on a cold, gray day the sea provides challenges to the painter, namely, to capture its movement, subtle colors and luminosity. To keep the work from being dreary I highlighted the sea with just a bit of yellow to make the water glisten. Acadia National Park, Maine.
