Fog Begins to Clear

Another foggy and misty day on the coast near Hunter's Head in Acadia (Mount Desert Island, Maine).  To liven up this work that threatened to be dreary I added the hint of sun breaking through in the foreground and pushed the mist and fog away from the nearest rock outcrops.  The atmosphere thus changed; the painting now holds the promise of a clear and better day ahead.
