Twin Pines

Standing atop a granite headland these two enormous pines overlook Sheepscot Bay at the edge of Reid State Park beach. The view is truly magnificent. In this work I used the clouds to capture the sense of space and distance creating the impression of atmospheric perspective through slight variations in their color. The clouds become lighter, less detailed and bluer in color as they recede in the distance.
